Put your capital into the building, not the waste around it.

Obra Wright is an independent owner's representation and project management firm in San Antonio. Twenty-five years on site, backed by AI-assisted tools, cutting the duplicated management, design rework, and unchecked margin that quietly drain a project's budget.

Where projects quietly lose money

Management on top of management

Owners often pay for oversight two or three times over: a development manager, a construction manager, and the contractor's own supervisors. I take the owner's side of that job and make sure each layer earns its cost.

Design that gets drawn twice

A coordination gap missed in design becomes a change order in the field. Catching it in review costs hours. Catching it on site costs weeks, at a premium.

Margin nobody checked

Fees, general conditions, and change-order pricing all have room in them. I read the contracts and pay applications on your behalf, so what you pay matches what was built.

What I do

Owner's representation
One accountable person between you, the design team, and the contractor, with no financial tie to any of them.
Project management
Schedule, budget, and progress checked against what is actually built, not what is reported.
Program management
Several projects or a whole portfolio, run as one program with one set of reports.
Contract and change order administration
Contracts, RFIs, requests for approval, change orders, and pay applications reviewed for you.

AI-assisted tools keep schedules and reports current, so problems show up while they are still cheap to fix. Deciding what to do about them comes from twenty-five years of doing this work.

Every engagement starts with what matters to you

Speed, safety, cost, and quality pull against each other, and they can't all come first. Before the work starts, I ask you to divide 100 points among the four.

That ranking becomes measurable goals, such as a completion date, a cost variance, an incident rate, or a punch-list count. Every later decision gets checked against them.

Who you'd be working with

Chris Jaworski has spent twenty-five years delivering construction and development programs, more than $500 million of work across downtown districts, hospitality, and civic projects.

He takes on a small number of clients at a time and answers to no contractor, designer, or vendor. You get the person you meet, on your project, start to finish.

About the name. Obra is Spanish for the work, the project on the site. A wright is a maker, as in shipwright. Obra Wright: one who builds the work itself.
